Somalia’s Finance Minister Advocates for Increased Development Financing at World Bank Meeting

At the recent World Bank Development Committee meeting, Somalia’s Finance Minister, Bihi Egeh, delivered a keynote address on behalf of Africa Group 1, representing fellow finance ministers from across the continent.

In his statement, Egeh emphasized the urgent need for enhanced financing to support strategic development investments in critical sectors such as energy, climate resilience, and infrastructure.

Highlighting Africa’s growing economic potential, he called for greater international support to advance job creation and sustainable growth.
