Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, attended a virtual meeting organized by World Bank on food security.
The theme of the meeting, which took place on October 9, was “Investing in Food Security.”
Beileh joined fellow ministers and distinguished guests from around the globe to discuss investments in food security, especially with the challenges the world faces currently.
Dr. Beileh said that food security is an important factor in every aspect of development in Somalia.
He also reiterated the fact that the agricultural sector would not benefit from effective revitalization without proper investments in the necessary infrastructure.
