Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, discussed economic reforms with Hafez Ghanem, World Bank’s Vice President for Africa.
Beileh’s discussions with Ghanem took place on October 8 virtually.
Ghanem led a team from the World Bank that’s interested in learning about the progress the East African nation has made with its economic reforms.
Moreover, they also delved into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to ravage Somalia.
Additionally, the discussions also moved into the progress of the projects that World Bank has in the country.
