Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, held a virtual meeting with both the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank on Thursday.
The meeting was to help the two Bretton Woods institutions to discuss several issues with African leaders, including Dr. Beileh.
Primarily, the participants discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the economy.
Furthermore, they also discussed about the strategies to put in place to help the continent recover in the post-COVID-19 period.
Dr. Beileh took the opportunity to express gratitude to IMF and World Bank for the support extended to Somalia to help pursue economic reforms.
