Somalia’s Minister of Finance has traveled to Dubai for the 2024 World Governments Summit.
On Monday, Bihi Egeh, the finance minister, held a meeting with several top global leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
These included a meeting with Abdulhamid Alkhalifa.
The latter is the Director General of the Organization of the Petroleum Producing Countries (OPEC) Fund.
Egeh and Alkhalifa discussed the potential for economic growth and development in Somalia.
They discussed the role that the OPEC Fund can play in developing the strategies that drive Somalia to achieve its economic goals.
