Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation attended the 42nd session of the African Union (AU) Executive Council.
Abshir Omar Jama Huruse, the foreign affairs minister, attended the AU Executive Council that took place on February 15-16.
Madame Aissata Tall Sall, the Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the session.
Participants at the AU Executive Council discussed wide-ranging issues such as food and humanitarian crises in different parts of the continent.
Huruse joined them in discussing the African Medicines Agency (AMA), which is about to be established and operationalized.
They agreed on the need to accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).
