Abdisaid Muse Ali, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers took place on December 19 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The focus of this year’s meeting was the ongoing chaotic situation in Afghanistan.
OIC Council members voted to set up a fund to forestall Afghanistan’s imminent economic collapse.
OIC is a 57-member organization of Islamic countries.
After the session, the Somali foreign affairs minister departed Islamabad in the company of his counterparts from Turkey, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Malaysia, and Gabon.
