Ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a discussion with Qin Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, on Sunday, October 25.
The discussion focused on several issues.
However, top on the agenda was the need for strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
Somalia and China already enjoy solid diplomatic ties.
The two leaders stressed the importance of strengthening ties between both countries for the mutual benefit of their people.
Ambassador Isse reassured Jian that Mogadishu remains committed to pursuing a path that deepens strategic partnership it currently enjoys with Beijing.
