Abdisaid Muse Ali, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with Hulusi Akar, the Turkish Minister of Defense on February 18.
The talks between Ali and Akar took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
During the talks, Ali lauded Turkey for continuously supporting Somalia’s security efforts.
Somalia has been in long-term engagements to defeat militants from groups such as Al-Shabaab and IS.
Turkey constantly trains military officers from Somalia.
