Members of Parliament have increased pressure on Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Health, over their medical bills at Erdogan Hospital.
Reportedly, Dr. Nur is unhappy with the decision of the MPs to seek medical treatment at the Turkish-run hospital.
Once they are treated, the MPs then expect the Ministry of Health to pay their medical bills, something that Dr. Nur is not happy about.
Dr. Nur said that the problem is not limited to MPs alone.
Instead, cabinet ministers are also guilty of seeking medical attention at the hospital for themselves or their loved ones and expecting the ministry to cater for the bills.
