Somalia’s Ministry of Health has reassured the public of its commitment to the fight against polio.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the health minister, offered these reassurances on June 30.
She confirmed that the ministry of health would work closely with the World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (WHOEMRO) to achieve this.
WHOEMRO has created a shared vision of “Health for All”.
Through it, the organization incorporates the assistance of health ministries in the region to undertake a successful fight against polio.
