Somalia’s Health Ministry Records 33 New COVID-19 Cases

The Ministry of Health announced that Somalia had recorded 33 new COVID-19 cases from samples collected and tested in the last 10 days.

Somalia last announced new COVID-19 cases on October 15.

According to the health ministry, its staff tested 4,045 samples in the last 10 days from which 33 were confirmed positive.

Somaliland recorded 21 cases while Banadir region had 12 cases.

Furthermore, 25 of the cases were male while 8 were women.

Officials from the health ministry confirmed that 77 new recoveries were recorded thus bringing this tally to 3,166.

Three more people succumbed to the virulent disease thus taking the number of fatalities to 102.

Generally, Somalia now has 3,897 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
