Dr. Afyare Abdi Elmi is to take over as the new Executive Director from June 1, 2021.
Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS) recently lost its long-standing Executive Director who opted to step down after years of stellar service.
Thereafter, the board embarked on a search for a new Executive Director.
Dr. Elmi is not only a political scientist but also a highly rated academic.
The Heritage Institute is rated as not only the largest think-tank in Somalia but also one of the most influential in the region and the entire continent.
