Somalia’s National Security Adviser attended a virtual meeting with the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).
Hussein Sheikh Ali attended the meeting with ATMIS officers to discuss and assess the security situation in the country.
ATMIS troops and police unit held the Somalia Operations Coordination Committee on Tuesday, February 14.
Representatives from countries that contribute their troops and police officers to serve under ATMIS were at the discussions too.
ATMIS intends to pull out close to 2,000 of its troops from the East African nation by June 30, 2023, as per its mandate.
