Notably, in January 2025, Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Maalim Faqi Ahmed received a copy of the credentials of Boumediene Mahi, the new Algerian Ambassador to Somalia, highlighting mutual commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, in Addis Ababa, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Ali Mohamed Omar, met with Attaf to discuss expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
These developments reflect a shared dedication to fostering stronger diplomatic and cooperative ties between Somalia and Algeria.
