Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Abdisalam Ali, returned to Mogadishu on Friday following his attendance at the United Nations World Urban Forum in Cairo, Egypt, which ran from November 4 to 8, 2024.
The Deputy PM was warmly received upon arrival at Aden Adde International Airport by a welcoming group of cabinet ministers, federal lawmakers, and other government officials.
His participation in the forum highlights Somalia’s ongoing efforts to engage in global discussions on sustainable urban development, addressing issues such as infrastructure, urban resilience, and housing, which are critical for Somalia’s future.
