Yonis Yassin Hashi, the new Somalia Ambassador to Belgium, presented his credentials to King Philippe Leopold Louis Marie on November 29.
Hashi will also serve as Somalia’s Ambassador to the European Union (EU).
The new Ambassador visited King Philippe at the Royal Palace of Brussels to present his credentials to his hosts.
During the event, Ambassador Hashi passed warm greetings to King Philippe from Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
While doing so, Ambassador Hashi expressed the desire of the Somali government to develop close relations with Belgium.
On his part, King Philippe welcomed Ambassador Hashi to Belgium.
The King also wished Ambassador Hashi success in his new responsibilities.
