The newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs in Somalia has officially assumed his duties.
Abdisaid Muse Ali moved into his offices on November 25.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, who appointed him this week, was on hand to officially hand over the instruments of office to Muse Ali.
Muse Ali takes over from Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud.
The Prime Minister sacked Mohamud thus making Muse Ali the 25th Minister of Foreign Affairs in Somalia’s history.
The handing over ceremony took place at the Office of the Prime Minister in Mogadishu.
Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Gulaid joined other senior government officials at Muse Ali’s functions on Thursday.
