Somalia’s new Minister of Health held a meeting with the ministry’s staff on August 11.
Dr. Ali Haji met with the staff at the health ministry headquarters in Mogadishu to introduce himself to them.
The new State Minister of Health was also present at the meeting.
The health ministry’s Director-General attended the introductory meeting as well.
Dr. Haji takes over from his predecessor Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur following the recent appointment of a new cabinet by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
During Thursday’s meeting, Dr. Haji extended his gratitude to the staff, including directors and unit heads for the service they offer to the nation.
He promised to lead the ministry with continued dedication and effort.
