Somalia’s new President joined the country’s Minister of Finance in a virtual meeting with officials from the World Bank.
President-elect Hassan Sheikh Mohamud joined Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, in the virtual meeting on May 17.
The two held a briefing with officials from the World Bank virtually.
They discussed several issues with the World Bank officials. Top on the agenda were discussions on the ongoing economic reforms in Somalia.
The newly-elected President of Somalia reiterated his desire and commitment to deliver further reform progress for the benefit of all Somalis in the country.
Dr. Beileh said that it was an “honor and pleasure” for President-elect Mohamud to join them in the discussions.
