Mahdi M. Gulaid, the newly appointed Acting Prime Minister of Somalia, toured Mogadishu Port earlier today.
During his tour, the Prime Minister met with several government officials including the Minister of Ports, Maryan Aweis.
Similarly, he met with Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance. Gulaid held discussions with representatives of Mogadishu Port too.
The new Prime Minister reminded all officers of the importance of the port in increasing domestic revenue.
He reassured all stakeholders of the government’s commitment in investing in the port and ensuring that it provides great service to enable businesses and the national economy to grow.
