Somalia’s New Women Minister Launches 100 Days Work Plan

The newly appointed Minister of Women and Human Rights Development, Hanifa Mohamed, has launched her work plan for the first 100 days in office.

Mohamed was appointed the women minister in the recent cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.

She delivered her work plan for the first 100 days in office during a retreat organized by Prime Minister Roble for the Council of Ministers.

Mohamed stated that her priority is to “ensure the realization of the 30 percent women quota.”

Additionally, she vowed to pay more attention to the protection and promotion of the rights of children and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
