Somalia’s Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development has launched a financing project for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Baidoa.
The ministry’s Durable Solution Unit visited Baidoa to launch the product on July 17.
Zakaria Harbi, a specialist in durable solutions, presided over the launching ceremony in the presence of other officials from the planning ministry.
The project is aimed at enhancing skills and improving the livelihoods of IDPs in the Baidoa camps.
It also intends to strengthen local governments.
