Presidential candidates in Somalia presented their manifestos to federal parliament legislators on Thursday, May 12.
The candidates had two days, May 11-12, to make their presentations.
Twenty candidates presented their manifestos on the first day while another batch of 19 will get their chance on the second day.
Incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo is among those presenting on Day 2.
Legislators from both chambers of parliament – House of the People and the Senate – are at the Afiyosini tent within the Aden Adde International Airport compound in Mogadishu.
The heavily fortified venue is secure courtesy of the presence of Somali National Army (SNA) and African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) forces.
Once the presentations are over, legislators would then consider the views they heard before voting for the new President of Somalia on Sunday, May 15.
