Contestants for the upcoming presidential elections in Somalia have until May 8 to register their candidacy.
The committee charged with planning the elections announced this on Saturday, May 7.
Somalia is scheduled to hold elections on May 15.
As per the latest development, all candidates vying in the upcoming polls must register their interests by Sunday between 9am and 4pm local time.
Moreover, they have to pay a registration fee of $40,000.
There have been reports that over a dozen individuals are interested in the seat.
