Somalia’s Queen of Soul Music is Dead

Somalia’s Queen of Soul Music died today in Mogadishu.

Reports from the nation’s capital indicate that Seynab Haji Ali Bahsan passed away on Monday, October 19.

Multiple sources have confirmed Bahsan’s demise.

The cause of her sudden death remains unknown at the moment, though.

Bahsan is best remembered for dolling songs that touched the hearts and minds of her fans around the country.

Crucially, the songbird always seemed intent on building a united and all-inclusive nation for all Somalis.
