Somalia’s regional football tournament that has been taking place in Mogadishu has been suspended over crowd trouble.
The Somali Football Federation (SFF) announced the suspension of the football tournament on Friday.
SFF took this measure after football hooligans hurled stones at a bus carrying football players from the Southwest State. A number of players were injured.
Consequently, football authorities opted to suspend the tournament for the next three days in the hope that fans would not repeat such shocking scenes.
