Somalia’s Upper House (Senate) Speaker, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, returned home on Thursday after a medical trip to Turkey, where he sought treatment.
His return marks the end of his medical leave, and he is expected to resume his duties in the Senate.
His presence is significant as the Upper House continues its legislative and oversight responsibilities.
Specifically, he will oversee debates on key national issues such as federalism, constitutional review, and national reconciliation.
