Somalia’s Tally of COVID-19 Cases Reaches 3,130

Somalia’s Ministry of Health has reported 11 new COVID-19 cases. Consequently, the health ministry has confirmed that the tally now stands at 3,130.

Somaliland accounts for three of the new cases. Benadir region recorded seven while one case was reported in Jubbaland.

The health ministry has witnessed a significant reduction in the number of positive COVID-19 cases. A few months ago, Somalia had the highest number of cases in the Horn of Africa region.

Furthermore, health officials also confirmed that 10 of the new cases were male while one was female.

As for recoveries, five more people have recovered from the novel coronavirus while there are no new deaths to report either.
