Top military officers in Somalia attended a conference that ended in Mogadishu today.
Brig. Gen. Odawaa Yusuf Rageh, the Somali National Army (SNA) chief, chaired the conference that ran from June 21-23.
The senior military officers discussed various issues during the 3-day conference.
Some of these issues included the country’s operational capabilities. They also discussed ways of eradicating terrorists from the country.
Further, they also spoke about taking over security responsibilities from the African Union (AU).
AU Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) is expected to hand over security responsibilities to Somali forces soon.
