Somaliland has accused China of provocation after it donated military vehicles to Somalia a few days ago.
Recently, China donated a fleet of military vehicles and other equipment to the Somali National Army (SNA).
Somaliland has not taken that act kindly.
Abdikadir Mohamed Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Defense, received the military supplies on behalf of SNA on Friday, March 18.
Mohamed Ali Bile, the Director of Somaliland Presidency, said that China hoped to disrupt relations between Somaliland and Taiwan through this.
“We cannot ignore the fact that China donates these supplies when President Muse Bihi Abdi is in the United States,” Bile said.
