Somaliland is interested in pursuing increased cooperation in elections with Taiwan.
Officials from Somaliland’s electoral commission have been in Taiwan on a benchmarking visit for the last few days.
On Thursday, they met in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
The electoral officials discussed several issues and agendas that are vital to carrying out successful electoral process and elections.
Currently, Taiwan is preparing for parliamentary and presidential polls.
Musa Hassan Yousuf, the Chairman of the Somaliland National Elections Commission (SNEC), led the delegation.
Yousuf and his team will be in Taiwan for one week.
