The government of Somaliland has commended the security partnership that it enjoys with the United States.
Somaliland Mission to the US spoke on behalf of the government in an official communiqué on July 7.
In its statement, the Somaliland Mission hailed the decision by the US House Armed Services Committee to pursue a stronger security partnership between Somaliland and the US.

Bashir Goth, Somaliland’s Representative to the US, expressed Somaliland’s “deep appreciation” to the US House Armed Services Committee.
Specifically, he mentioned the leadership provided by Representative Marc Veasey in seeking a much stronger security partnership between the US and Somaliland.
Recently, there has been renewed interest in strengthening relations between the US and Somaliland.
