The Ministry of Health in Somaliland has confirmed one more COVID-19 case in the country thus bringing the total to six.
Somaliland reported its first Coronavirus case last month.
Consequently, the country instituted several measures designed to curtail the spread of the virulent disease in the country.
A public awareness campaign was also launched by the health ministry throughout the country.
Further, the health ministry started providing communities leaving outside Hargeisa, which is the country’s capital, with protective gear such as facemasks.
The Horn of Africa nation has restricted travel while banning public gatherings. All movements via vehicles and airplanes are also banned to curb the spread of COVID-19.
