Somaliland’s COVID-19 Taskforce has denied reports that the Federal Government of Somalia delivered medical supplies to Sool and Sanaag.
A press release by the taskforce called the reports from Somalia an “infodemic.”
Additionally, the press release hit out at reports of confirmed COVID-19 cases by Somalia’s Ministry of Health calling them “false and misleading.”
Contrary to figures released by the health ministry in President Farmaajo’s administration, the COVID-19 Taskforce says Somaliland only has 103 confirmed cases.
Furthermore, the taskforce said that only the Ministry of Health Development is mandated to announce COVID-19 figures affecting Somaliland.
