Somaliland’s Minister of Finance says that he would like to leave a legacy to his successor when he finally steps aside.
Dr. Saad Ali Shire made this announcement on Sunday, December 20.
He made the declaration while supervising a meeting of the finance ministry’s personnel as they discussed their plans for 2021.
The meeting took place in Hargeisa.
While discussing the ministry’s 2021 action plan, Dr. Shire’s staff also used the opportunity to evaluate ways in which each department would implement individualized action plan.
Other senior officials who attended the meeting included Muse Ibrahim Yusuf, the Deputy Minister of Finance, and Mohamed Abdi Gurhan, the Director General at the ministry.
Ahmed Daud Gedi, the National Accountant General, was present at the meeting too.
The directors and deputy directors in charge of all the 14 departments at the ministry’s offices throughout the country were present too.
