The government of President Muse Bihi Abdi in Somaliland has invited opposition parties for talks.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release dated Saturday, June 11.
In the release, the government states that the talks are to find solutions to avoid the kind of “unwarranted” protests witnessed on Thursday, June 9.
As per the statement, the government said that the opposition should return to “constructive dialogue.”
Further, the government claims that the opposition has been operating with misinformation.
It has asked all concerned parties to embrace dialogue and find solutions based on the constitution and the rule of law.
