The government of President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland has announced ambitious plans to construct houses for its civil servants.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Public Works.
Abdirashid Qambi, the Minister of Public Works, said the project is part of the government’s plans to provide civil servants with safe and decent housing.
Qambi made this announcement on Thursday during a cabinet meeting held virtually.
He took the opportunity to explain the full details of the project, including the exact plan and design, to his cabinet colleagues.
Furthermore, Qambi assured his colleagues that the government has already identified and secured a parcel of land for the first phase of the housing project.
