Somaliland is currently holding a conference on sharing of maritime data.
The High-Level Conference on National Cooperation and Information Sharing in the Maritime Domain ran from January 9-10.
It took place at the Ambassador Hotel Hargeisa, Somaliland.
Dr. Issa Kayd, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, opened the conference officially on Monday.
The conference attracted senior government officials including Said Ahmed Abdi, the Director-General at the foreign affairs ministry.
Mohamed Osman, the Chairman of the Anti-Piracy Agency, attended the conference too.
While delivering his speech at the closing ceremony, Abdi called the sea surrounding Somaliland a “national treasure.”
