The Somaliland Minister of Energy and Minerals, Abdillahi Farah Abdi, recently hosted a group of investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the ministry’s head offices in Hargeisa.
He was flanked by his deputy, Saeed Ahmed Jibril during the meeting held last week.
During their meeting, they discussed potential investments in Somaliland’s energy and minerals sectors, focusing on opportunities to develop renewable energy projects and explore the country’s rich mineral resources.
The minister emphasized the importance of foreign investment in boosting Somaliland’s economic development and expressed optimism about the positive impact UAE investment could have on both infrastructure and job creation in the country.
This meeting is part of the broader efforts by Somaliland to attract international investors to key sectors to enhance economic growth and build a sustainable energy future.
