A court in Somaliland has sentenced a female journalist to one-year imprisonment.
The Hargeisa court found Bushaaro Baanday guilty of posting misleading information on social media.
Consequently, she will be behind bars for the next year.
Media rights organisations have already condemned her arrest, trial, and subsequent imprisonment on Tuesday.
Bushaaro has been in police custody since being arrested this year on May 15.
