President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland held a meeting with the United Nations Deputy Representative to Somalia, Kiki Gbeho.
President Bihi held high level talks with Gbeho at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed wide-ranging issues affecting Somaliland.
These included the working relations between the UN and Somaliland. Their talks also touched on the just concluded parliamentary and local government elections.
Ms. Gbeho took the opportunity to raise issues pertaining to women and the youth.
Specifically, she brought these issues up in relation to the need for more women and youth representation in upper echelons of the Somaliland government.
After the meeting with Bihi, Ms. Gbeho also spoke with cabinet ministers, leaders of various political parties in the country, and representatives from civil society groups.
