Somaliland’s Minister of Agriculture Development says that the country would not realize any development without stability and security.
Agriculture Minister Abdikadir Iman Warsame said this recently.
He was speaking during celebrations held to mark the World Food Day on October 16.
Warsame attended the celebrations in Berbera. He promised farmers that the government would launch a 5-year program in several parts of the country.
Places chosen for the program include Togdeer, Dad-madeed, and Sahil.
The minister added that funding for the program, which is projected to cost millions of US$, would be from the German Development Bank (KFW).
