The leader of Wadani Party, one of Somaliland’s main opposition parties, returned to Hargeisa on November 16.
Abdirahman Irro arrived back to the country on Monday.
Irro had been out of the country receiving medical attention after he recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Upon arrival, Irro offered his appreciation to the people of Somaliland for praying for his quick recovery.
He also addressed some of the issues that arose in Somaliland during his absence.
Irro commended the preparations the country has made towards the upcoming elections.
He urged voters to take the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming polls as a way of exercising their democratic rights.
Irro made a rallying call to those who are yet to register for the elections. He encouraged them to participate in the upcoming voter registration exercise.
