Representatives from different political parties in Somaliland have kicked off discussions on the upcoming parliamentary and local polls in the country.
The parties convened a meeting on Thursday, September 10.
Abdirahman Sayli’i of Kulmiye Party, Eng. Faisal Ali Warabe of the Justice and Welfare Party (UCID), and Abdirahman Irro of Wadani Party were all at the meeting.
Primarily, the main item on their agenda was preparations for the upcoming polls.
The representatives of the political parties had a heated debate on developing unified criteria for selecting candidates for the parliamentary and local council seats.
Somaliland is due to hold the parliamentary and local council polls in 2021.
