Somaliland Police Force (SPF) has launched a five-year development plan for all its officers around the country.
Through the plan, SPF intends to develop talent within the force to enable officers to fulfill their responsibility towards the people of Somaliland.
In announcing the 5-year plan, SPF said that it would be assessing its officers regularly to ensure that they are developing on schedule.
SPF announced this plan last week when its senior officers held a meeting in Hargeisa.
Officers heading the Training and Operations departments of the SPF reviewed results of the assessment of members of the force.
Recently, the officers have been assessed on qualifications and training.
Colonel Faisal Hiis, the Chief of SPF Training, said that senior officers had traveled to various parts of the country assess qualifications and training of all officers.
Colonel Ibrahim Haji, the Chief of the SPF Operations, mentioned that discussions on skills assessment are ongoing.
Furthermore, Col. Haji clarified that a 5-year plan would be developed for all the branches of the SPF.
