President Muse Bihi Abdi has appointed a new Somaliland Ambassador to the European Union (EU).
Keysar Abdillahi Mohamed becomes Somaliland’s new Ambassador to the EU courtesy of the directive that President Bihi issued on January 14, 2023.
Ambassador Mohamed is a veteran diplomat.
Previously, Ambassador Mohamed has been working for the National Services Programme.
Meanwhile, President Bihi also appointed Mohamed Hussein Osman Mu’adinka as Somaliland’s new Director-General of the Treasury at the Ministry of Finance.
Mu’adinka takes over from Mohamed Abdi Gurhan.
President Bihi said that the appointments were in line with the Article 90 of the Somaliland Constitution on Presidential Powers.
