Hargeisa — Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro on Monday held a farewell meeting with the outgoing Swedish Ambassador to Somalia, Joachim Waern, at the presidential palace in Hargeisa.
According to an official statement, President Irro conveyed deep appreciation for Sweden’s ongoing support to Somaliland and acknowledged the robust diplomatic and development ties between the two sides.
He commended the Ambassador’s contributions during his tenure, noting the significance of the partnership in addressing Somaliland’s societal and developmental needs.
The meeting also touched on key areas of future cooperation, with President Irro expressing optimism about continued engagement even after the ambassador’s departure.
