President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland is currently on a working tour of the eastern regions.
He has been warmly received in various areas, including Daad-madheedh, Saraar, Qori-lugud in Buuhoodle, Gar-adag, and El Afweyn.
Bihi’s visit has focused on engaging with local communities and the Somaliland National Forces stationed in Oog District, Sool.
During his time in Erigavo, the capital of Sanaag region, President Bihi delivered a significant speech expressing gratitude and encouragement to the military forces.
He further confirmed that presidential and parliamentary elections will proceed as scheduled on November 13, 2024.
He assured the public that the elections and the country’s defense will be managed concurrently, sending a clear message that Somaliland is prepared to respond strongly to any threats or conflicts.
