President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland held talks with the leaders of Waddani and Kulmiye parties.
The President met with Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, who will vie in the upcoming presidential polls as the Waddani candidate.
Other leaders at the meeting included Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, Abdiaziz Mohamed Samale, Abdiqadir Haji Ismail Jirde, and Said Sulub Mohamed.
Kahin is the Chairman of the ruling Kulmiye Party while Samale is his assistant.
Jirde is Irro’s assistant.
Bihi, Irro, and the other leaders discussed the prevailing situation in the country. They also spoke about the need to unite the entire nation.
The political leaders discussed the upcoming polls as well.
Lastly, they agreed to leave the National Electoral Commission (NEC) the space it needs to do its job effectively.
